Hopscotch Partners joins BaseCamp®

We are excited to welcome Amanda Jones from Hopscotch Partners as a program facilitator of the BaseCamp® program in Bowral, New South Wales. Clients from Bowral and surrounding areas will now be able to benefit from these engaging and effective social and emotional programs.

BaseCamp® is a multi-award winning Social and Emotional Learning program developed by The Quirky Kid Clinic and are now used by schools and agencies around Australia and America.

About Hopscotch Partners

Hopscotch Partners is a counselling clinic working with children, young people and adults in the Southern Highlands. Established in 2012 situated in the heart of Bowral by Amanda Jones is the accredited Mental Health Social worker. With over 20 years of experience, Amanda ensures her work is evidence-based and trauma-informed.

Amanda is trained and experienced in supporting children and young people with a range of issues such as anxiety to relationship building and family issues.

With an ever-expanding range of resources and programs, Amanda is excited to include BaseCamp® in her unique variety of programs for children and young people at her clinic.

How the BaseCamp® program will be implemented at Hopscotch Partners?

Hopscotch Partners has completed the first 8-week group of BaseCamp® program in Term 3 2020 and was closely supported by our team of facilitators. Each participant received a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid, while facilitators and parents have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required. The second delivery of the BaseCamp® program will commence in Term 1 2021.

To ensure adequate evaluation, each individual child and group complete pre-and post- psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills to measure the outcome of the intervention. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the BaseCamp® program.
