We are excited to welcome Kingscliff High School to our Best of Friends® program.
The Best of Friends® is an evidence-based and multi-award-winning social and emotional learning program (SEL) developed by Quirky Kid that is now used by dozens of schools and clinics around the world.
About Kingscliff High School
Kingscliff High School, located in the Far North Coast provides comprehensive, engaging and authentic opportunities to the young people of the Tweed Coast communities.
By adopting The Best of Friends® program, Kingscliff High School is committed to inspire students to become lifelong learners and aspirational citizens and seeks to achieve this through a collective focus on creativity as the driver of innovation, through collaboration as an inclusive means of realising potential, through confident communication of ideas and values, and through ongoing critical reflection on the efficacy of their work together.
How The Best of Friends® program will be implemented at Kingscliff High School
The Best of Friends® program was launched at Kingscliff High School in 2024 and is closely supported by our team of facilitators. Each participant will receive a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators and parents will have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.
To ensure appropriate evaluation, each child and group will complete psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills before and after The Best of Friends® program to measure the outcome of the intervention. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program.
We look forward to working closely with Kingscliff High School in enhancing their students' wellbeing!
