We’re thrilled that Jordan Springs Public School in Jordan Springs, NSW has joined our The Best of Friends® program.
The Best of Friends® is an evidence-based and multi-award-winning social and emotional learning program (SEL) developed by Quirky Kid that is now used by dozens of schools and clinics around the world.
About Jordan Springs Public School
Established in 2020, Jordan Springs Public School supports the community with innovative learning spaces, dynamic teaching pedagogy and contemporary infrastructure that is underpinned by a caring and supportive approach to wellbeing.
Jordan Springs Public School’s wellbeing approach involves fulfilling the basic human needs according to William Glasser: Belonging, Power, Freedom, Fun and Survival. When our needs are being met, we are able to be our best selves.
These needs are shared across all aspects of the school and show how every student, teacher, leader and school community can improve every year when they are having their needs met. By adopting The Best of Friends®, Jordan Springs Public School demonstrates its deep commitment to enhancing its students’ wellbeing. We can’t wait to work with their team to deliver our program.
How The Best of Friends® program will be implemented at Jordan Springs Public School
The Best of Friends® program will launch at Jordan Springs Public School in 2022 and be closely supported by our team of facilitators. Each participant will receive a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators and parents will have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.
Each child and group will complete psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills before and after The Best of Friends® program to measure the outcome of the intervention. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program.
