We are thrilled to welcome Glowrey Catholic Primary School to our Best of Friends® program.
The Best of Friends® is an evidence-based and multi-award-winning social and emotional learning program (SEL) developed by Quirky Kid that is now used by dozens of schools and clinics around the world.
About Glowrey Catholic Primary School
Glowrey has a very strong focus on achieving high standards and academic excellence in all that we do. Student wellbeing is a huge priority at Glowrey Catholic Primary School. They strive to ensure that each child is happy and engaged and is provided with support when required and they have an exceptional team of staff that supports students including a Learning Diversity Leader, School Counsellor and Psychologist.
Glowrey Catholic Primary School believes that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. By adopting The Best of Friends® program, they are demonstrating their commitment to helping students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites the sharing of ideas.
How The Best of Friends® program will be implemented at Glowrey Catholic Primary School
The Best of Friends® program was launched at Glowrey Catholic Primary School in 2024 and is closely supported by our team of facilitators. Each participant will receive a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators and parents will have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.
To ensure appropriate evaluation, each child and group will complete psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills before and after The Best of Friends® program to measure the outcome of the intervention. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program.
We look forward to working closely with Glowrey Catholic Primary School in enhancing their students' wellbeing!
