We are excited to welcome Monivae College located in Hamilton Victoria to our Power Up® program.
Power Up® is an evidence-based and multi-award-winning social and emotional learning program (SEL) developed by Quirky Kid that is now used by dozens of schools and clinics around the world.
About Monivae College
Established in 1954, Monivae College is a widely recognised Catholic co-educational day and boarding school, where students are provided with a proactive and future focused educational environment with a focus on supporting the individual development of each child's personal and physical growth, resilience, academic achievement and faith.
Monivae College will be introducing Monivae College Sports Academy in 2023 consisting of a full time integrated academic and sporting program for pre-elite athletes. This Academy will not only allow for an innovative secondary education approach but will also allow student athletes to develop their sporting skills in a modern training facility under the guidance of professional sport coaches.
By adopting the Power Up® program, Monivae College is committing to enhance each individual elite performer's social and emotional wellbeing by providing students with two lessons per week focusing on performance psychology. We are amazed by the College's passion and commitment to the development of each elite performer and cannot wait to work with their team to deliver our program.
How the Power Up® program will be implemented at Monivae College
The Power Up® program will launch at Monivae College in 2023 and be closely supported by our team of facilitators. Each participant will receive a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid and will engage in two sessions per week focusing on performance psychology. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators and parents will have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.
To ensure appropriate evaluation, each child and group will complete psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills before and after the Power Up® program to measure the outcome of the intervention. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program.
