Mission Australia Joins The Best of Friends

Welcome and congratulations to the Mission Australia Team at Start4Kids Program in Miller NSW, for joining as program facilitators of The Best of Friends®

The Best of Friends® is multi-award winning Social and Emotional Learning program developed by The Quirky Kid Clinic and is now used by schools and agencies around Australia and America.

About Mission Australia

STAR4Kids (‘Support Them to Achieve Resilience’) provides short-term, evidence-based psychological services for children aged 3 to 12 years of age assessed as having definite or substantial signs and symptoms of an emerging mental disorder or at risk of developing a mental disorder and living in the Liverpool area.

The program provides both individual and group services (in selected schools) staffed by qualified mental health professionals. Delivery of group services in schools is identified by the PHN across Liverpool, Bankstown, and Fairfield area.

With an ever-expanding range of resources and programs, Amanda is excited to include The Best of Friends® in her unique variety of programs for children and young people at her clinic

How The Best of Friends® program will be implemented at Missin Australia?

Mission Australia, Start4Kids Program will commence the first delivery of The Best of Friends® 10-week program in Term 1 2021 and will be closely supported by our team of facilitators. Each participant received a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid, while facilitators and parents have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.

To ensure adequate evaluation, each individual child and group complete pre-and post-evaluation to measure the outcome of the intervention. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of The Best of Friends® program.
