We are excited to welcome Windsor Public School, situated close to the beautiful Hawkesbury River, to our BaseCamp® program. BaseCamp® is an evidence-based and multi-award-winning Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program developed by The Quirky Kid Clinic, now used by various schools and clinics globally.

About Windsor Public School

Established in 1869, Windsor Public School is a historical, well-respected, co-educational state primary school. At Windsor Public School, students are treated as a community with room for individualised focus on their academic and social development. The school's motto, 'strive to be better,' is integrated into their wellbeing approach, fostering a comprehensive educational program that cultivates a supportive school environment where positive relationships are highly valued. Guided by a pedagogy specifically tailored to address students' academic, social, and cultural needs, Windsor Public School places a paramount emphasis on nurturing each student's social and emotional well-being.

Windsor Public School aims for its students to develop as competent and critical learners, effective communicators, complex thinkers, and socially responsible citizens in which the BaseCamp® Program will further support the development of these skills. By adopting BaseCamp®, the school is committing to enhancing each student's social and emotional well-being by understanding and addressing their unique needs.

We are amazed by the school's passion and commitment to the development of each student and cannot wait to work with their team to deliver our program. Together, we will create an enriching environment that promotes Windsor Public School's students' social, academic and emotional growth.

How the BaseCamp®  program will be implemented at Windsor Public School

The Base Camp® program will launch at Windsor Public School in July 2023 and be closely supported by our team of facilitators. Each participant will receive a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators will have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.

To ensure appropriate evaluation, each child and group will complete pre and post psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills to measure the outcome of the Base Camp® program. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program. We look forward to working closely with Windsor Public School in enhancing their students wellbeing!
