We are excited to welcome Kinross Wolaroi School to our BaseCamp® program - an multi-award-winning Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program developed by The Quirky Kid Clinic, now used by various schools and clinics globally.
About Kinross Public School
Located in Orange and established in 1886, Kinross Wolaroi School, is an independent co-educational Uniting Church school, providing education from early-learning to secondary years. Students are equipped to live meaningful lives and make a positive contribution to society. The school's motto, 'Knowledge Friendship Integrity,' is integrated into their wellbeing approach, fostering a comprehensive educational program that cultivates a supportive school environment where positive relationships are highly valued. Guided by five core values; courage, respect, inclusiveness, resilience and commitment; the school prioritises nurturing each student's social and emotional well-being.
By adopting our anxiety program, the school is committing to enhancing each student's social and emotional well-being by understanding and addressing their unique needs.

How the BaseCamp® program will be implemented at Kinross Wolaroi School
The Base Camp® program launched at Kinross Wolaroi School in May 2023. Each participant received a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.
To ensure appropriate evaluation, each child and group completed pre and post psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills to measure the outcome of the Base Camp® program. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program. We look forward to working closely with Kinross Wolaroi School in enhancing their students wellbeing!
