We are excited to welcome Yew Chung International School of Shanghai to our BaseCamp® program - an multi-award-winning Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program developed by The Quirky Kid Clinic, now used by various schools and clinics globally. Yew Chung International School of Shanghai, located in Shanghai, China is just one of the schools we are currently working with to provide Basecamp® to their students.
About Yew Chung International School of Shanghai
Yew Chung International School of Shanghai is an International School in Shanghai, for expatriate students aged 2 - 18 years old (K2 to Year 13). The school was established in 1993 as the first independent international school in Shanghai officially recognised by and registered with the Chinese government.
Yew Chung International School of Shanghai believes that the core purpose of education is character formation, and it is the most important shared responsibility of the school and home and that each child is unique, with innate talents and gifts that should be nurtured to the fullest potential.

How the BaseCamp® program will be implemented at Kinross Wolaroi School
The Base Camp® program launched at Yew Chung International School of Shanghai. Each participant received a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.
To ensure appropriate evaluation, each child and group completed pre and post psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills to measure the outcome of the Base Camp® program. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program. We look forward to working closely with Yew Chung International School of Shanghai in enhancing their students wellbeing!
