Join our team, inspiring Quirky Kid facilitators from around Australia and other guests to our first COVID Safe facilitator meet up. The theme of this first event is ‘Crafting Your Skills as a Group Facilitator’. The Quirky Kid team has been facilitating therapeutic groups for children in the clinic setting for over two decades and we want to share our collective learning with you.
Held in the beautiful oceanfront room at the Headlands Hotel in Austimner (or online) we’ll practise the art of group facilitation using creative mediums designed to settle, engage and empower children in the group context. Learn how to:
- Build suspense in your setting
- Navigate flux in group dynamics
- Respect resistance
- Empower participants with roles and responsibilities
- Use a range of visual reward systems
This will also be the perfect opportunity to view our programs and resources, ask questions and discuss how you can facilitate our programs. We’ll wrap up with a walk along the scenic ‘Little Austinmer’ beach towards the Quirky Kid Clinic HQ for a tour of our clinic space and an excellent coffee from the cafe next door.
