Laura Nolan is a Provisional Psychologist at the Quirky Kid Clinic in Woollahra. She is accredited with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) from the Australian College of Applied Psychology and is currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at Western
Sydney University. Laura has experience working with children, adolescents and adults within several arenas, presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain and substance use.
Laura has received formal training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a variety of learning assessments including the Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V), Weschler Individual Achievement Teste (WIAT-III), and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV). Laura also has experience administering and scoring psychometric assessments, including Connors-3, Behaviour
Assessment System for Children (BASC-3) and Child Behaviour Checklist (CBCL).
Laura holds Provisional Registration with the Australian Psychology Board (AHPRA) and is under supervision of Dr Kimberley O’Brien.
Experience and Specialisation Laura has experience working with children and adolescence at Allambi Care, Juniperina Juvenile Justice Centre, the Freedom Hub and Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart.
Laura also currently works at the Western Sydney University Psychology Clinic providing cognitive assessments for individuals aged 6-21 years old with diverse abilities. Laura loves working collaboratively with allied health professionals, parents, educators and young people as a facilitator of positive change.
