Jackie Tritt is employed as a full-time child and behavioural psychologist at the Quirky Kid Clinic in Woollahra. She completed her Master’s degree in Applied Psychology (2013 – 2015), and her Postgraduate Diploma in the Practice of Psychology (2015 – 2016), at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.
Jackie began her career (2002 – 2004) working as an Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) Therapist at the Centre for Autism and Related Disorders in New Zealand and in the United Arab Emirates. Following her overseas travel she moved on to roles as an Autism Advisor at Autism Queensland (2009 – 2010), and a Senior Behaviour Therapist both privately, and at the Lizard Centre, Brisbane, and Sydney (2010 – 2013), and BeChange Behavioural Services in Auckland.
In 2015, Jackie completed her placement as a provisional psychologist at Explore Specialist Advice in Auckland. As part of this role, Jackie completed Functional Behaviour Assessments, Psychometric Assessments, implemented a Positive Behaviour Support model, and implemented evidence-based interventions including ABA and ACT with children and adults with a developmental disability, intellectual disability, anxiety and/or complex medical conditions.
Prior to joining Quirky Kid, Jackie was employed as a registered psychologist at Momentum Learning Services. During this role, Jackie completed Functional Behaviour Assessments, formal Psychometric Assessments and implemented evidence-based early intervention programs with children from the age of 2 years old primarily with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Additionally, she provided individual and family-based CBT interventions for children experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation and social skills issues. She has completed the ADOS-2 and ADI-R training for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders and is a trained facilitator of the Secret Agent Society social skills groups. She has a passion for evidence-based early intervention from diagnosis to treatment, to school transitions and social skills groups.
Jackie will practice under the supervision of Dr Kimberley O’Brien, providing psychological interventions and psychometric assessments to a range of clients as well as delivering group intervention.
