Registered Psychologist

The Quirky Kid Clinic has a position available for a registered psychologist in Wollongong (Austinmer).

We believe that we make a significant contribution to improving individuals and families mental health by delivering high quality  services that combine a child-focused approach with sound scientific principles, strategic thinking, effective communication and integrity.

We are looking for someone who can play an active role in contributing to the growth of the business in the Wollongong  region and more broadly across other offices located within Australia.

The essential criteria includes:

• Full registration as a Psychologist with the PBA and APS.

• Previous clinical skill with a minimum 2 years experience providing intervention for children, adolescents and families in an educational or clinical setting.

• Creative group facilitation skills
• Outstanding leadership and administrative skills with the ability to work independently toward project completion
• Demonstrated experience and interest in working effectively with children diagnosed with an ASD and /or a disability.
• Experience administering and scoring psychometric assessments
• Professional presentation, outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as current I.T skills.

Position Description:

As a growing business we are looking for a very adaptable team player with leadership skills. Your role is likely to include:

• Psychological Intervention and workshop facilitation. This includes Participant Intake for workshops
• Deliver evidence-based intervention for children, adolescents and families
• Developing relationships with prospective clients and government authorities
• Coordinate the Quirky Kid resources promotion activities including demonstration
• Research and report writing
• Clinical support to the senior psychologists
• Support to the Practice Manager

Further Information:

• This position is initially available 15 hours a week.
• Salary is based on experience within the range of $45-55k per year (pro-rata) + entitlements
